It has reduced my caution level to roughly the equivalent of yellow-orange, once it gets back up to blue I'll be satisfied. One question though, do you know if a similar article will be printed in the PCG I should be getting here in the states soon?
The US PCG seems to be focusing on Starcraft 2 for its next couple of issues, which sucks.

Starcraft 2: How To Properly Do A Sequel

US PCG will probably have a short tidbit on Fallout 3 if nothing else. Can't be helped.

Hear that? That's the sound of a million angry Koreans coming to kill you. Run!

Feh, Starcraft 2 is just the old game with cutseyfied World of Warcraft graphics. Which sucks.

Millions of angry Koreans disagree with you.

Betcha Starcraft 2 in all its cutesy glory and staying-true-to-the-original style will outsell Fallout 3, drastically.

Any shitty game will sell well in Korea. As long as it's repetetive and unengaging. According to Richard Garriot, they prefer games that can be controlled with one hand there, rather than a more involved WASD approach, for completely bizarre reasons.

...Did you...did you just imply Starcraft was a shitty game, or that Starcraft 2 will be?

Hell, for shit's sake, you're on a forum for what is essentially a one-hand game.

Nah, I was just referencing the strange korean love for dull games overall. Note the massive numbers of korean identikit MMOs and RTS games. Starcraft was a good game, but I really dislike cutesy graphics and Starcraft had a good graphical style. I have nothing against one handed games. It's just that they sell obscenely well in Korea. Actually, I have no idea what I am talking about. I guess I should not be typing on forums at this time of night.

Wow... calling Starcraft a shitty game... That's for rts genre the same thing as calling Heroes of Might and Magic III shitty strategy... Dear god, where did you come from?

Note: I didn't.

Well, he didn't really managed to make himself clear....but he also said he had no idea what he was talking about, so you are probably right.

rather than a more involved WASD approach

Oh, wait, so WASD is the best approach now? A game in which you have to use two hands is more involving than a game where you can use only one?
Not every game is a FPS you know?

Plus, all those faster-than-camel-cum Korean StarCraft players, I'm willing to bet they don't use only one hand to play the game.

Took the word from my mouth. One needs to be Kali to play it properly, there's a bunch of shortcuts and custom assigned shortcuts.

EDIT:

Agree. Not in Korea only, but worldwide.

Take it up with Richard Garriot then.

The WASD approach? You mean the same WASD approach that Oblivion uses? That World of Warcraft uses?

Yeah, those are so much deeper than those pesky one-handers like Fallout and Starcraft.

This thread seems like it belongs in the No Zerg Allowed forums. :P

But yeah, I have to say it makes it all the more disappointing to see the state of Fallout 3 after seeing what Blizzard is doing with SC2. :( I bet Blizzard would probably have made a more faithful Fallout sequel than Beth....but that's a whole 'nother discussion.

Apparently there has been quiet a big backlash against SC2 from the hardcore/pro SC community. To them its like trying to re-invent chess, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to be universally adopted in SK.
