We've been getting piles of messages about this "reference to Fallout in Starcraft II promo:

I wouldn't be too sure myself, Briosafreak points out it could be a Deus Ex reference too. Who knows?

You are correct!

In Deus Ex it is "Soda" not "Cola" (as listed in your inventory) making it a reference to Fallout, not Deus Ex.. if anything at all.

EDIT:Booted up Dues Ex 1 & 2 (Invisible War) to be sure... it is Soda. Cola is Fallout.

i think they didnt reference anything as the joining of NUKE COLA / COCA COLA / SODA ...=> nuke cola / nuka cola is quite easy to get to ...

i dont rule out a reference .. i just dont think so
 
Well i don't think they'd put that in for any other reason than an easter egg... I've read some StarCraft books and I don't remember any mention of cola in anything starcraft...

i did have a double take when I saw that trailer, I figured at first it was a funny coincidence because it wasnt exactly the same.

Well they're not going to call it Nuka Cola and risk Bethesda coming down on them like a neutron bomb.
And we all know, Bethesda is capable of being that petty.
 
This isn't actually the first time Starcraft's given out some Fallout lovin'... players of the first game with a sharp eye and a sharper memory will recall that one of the four or five different (and in the map editor, random) art images for the cliffside/plateau terrain was a beefy metal door engraved with the number 13. Not a dead-on homage, but a subtle nod, methinks.
 
I mentioned "Vault 13" in the longer SC thread. If there's one referecence, it's probable the other is too (and not a ref to DX)...
