In most cases single scenery piece is much more easier to implement than walls/tiles, which must be perfectly seamless to get a nice results in game, not some shitty shit like not fitting segments, etc.
It took me more than 4 hours of annoying rendering, cutting, adjusting, testing to put totally new wall set (default one) done in 3d only (not some dirty PS tricks) into the game. And texturing was a totally different story...
Just saying.

And I cleaned up the mesh from damn triangles (triangles are bad!)...
