In Fallout Tactics the Laser Rifle is named the Sunbeam Laser Rifle, and the Gatling Laser is named the Sunbeam Gatling Laser. The laser pistol is still just named laser pistol though.
The weapons use the same item descriptions as Fallout 1 and 2 and still say "The Wattz 2000 laser rifle blah blah" and "The HK L30 Gatling Laser blah blah", so they are supposed to be the same model weapons as seen in the earlier games... so where does the Sunbeam name come from? There aren't any other laser rifles or Gatling Lasers in the game so it's not like they needed to differentiate them or something.
At first I thought that "Sunbeam" was supposed to be a brand or model name that Wattz Electronics gave to the 2000 model laser rifle... until I realised the Gatling Laser was named Sunbeam too and was made by a completely different company. I'm baffled!
Anyone happen to know anything? Or have any suggestions as to why the developers added that Sunbeam thing?
