Super Bunnyhop Video: Why We Should Have More Fallout Spinoffs

Fall Out Boy

Unbeliever
So glad you guys introduced me to this channel, been watching a lot of his videos recently.

This popped up in my sub-box and if you watch it I believe that NMA cannot disagree with what he says (or maybe you can)

Agreeing with the video. A co-op multiplayer spinoff game would be a nice to play

Don't tell me playing a co-op game in the Fallout setting with your buddies doesn't sounds interesting to you!

I've yet to disagree with any of his videos. Thanks for posting I will watch. Super Bunnyhop is the most level-headed YouTube video game journalist right now in my opinion. Can't say enough good things about his content.

Don't have time to watch the video, but are we talking about spinoffs like New Vegas or spinoffs like Fallout Shelter?

Since the former I obviously heartily support, but I don't know if we need like a Fallout Match 3 game.

I haven't tried any of the FOnline so I can't really talk about it but yeah, it does look very interesting.

When you were talking of a coop spinoff, what did you have in mind? Something similar to Borderlands, which focus on combat and exploration? It could indeed be interesting in the same way that Fallout Tactics was, but it's not something I'm personnally very interested in.

I just hope Bethesda lets Obsidian do another game.

Yeah something akin to Fallout Tactics, sure. In the F4 engine and all

Depends on the type of spin off.
Fallout New Vegas turned out fine (it is pretty much Fallout 3 or as close to Van Buren as we old fans will ever get) so I would love to see more such games.

Tactics? Sure. It had its flaws but I still really liked this game and was willing to retcon it into official Fallout lore (until Van Buren's design documents were shown and I have to say I liked it over Fallout Tactics. Sigh, I want Fallout Van Buren)

Even FOBOS could have worked if it had been better designed and more faithful to Fallout Lore. (No I am not talking about the secret Vault Tec vault, more the ridiculous design of the raiders, the Deathclaws, Harold). Long time ago I had been thinking about how the Shadowgrounds engine could have been used to create a Fallout mod with the player perhaps being a NCR Ranger and having to track down a renegade NCR military unit that is part of a conspiracy involving military take over of the NCR, going to places like the Boneyard, Shady Sands/NCR and some new locations such as Vandenberg AFB, Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, and Area 51, and meeting factions like the Followers of the Apocalypse, the remnants of the Unity, and the Brotherhood of Steel.
