Well...

The size, mainly.

Even as a SWF, this 11 second clip, is still around 600kb, a little too big for anyone to wait around for it to load.

In the clip, a streak of fire races across the ground, comes to a stop and the entire cave floor bursts upwards from the force of a golem trapped within. He looks menacing for a few seconds and then the screen fades.

I was thinking of getting some of the short movies my brother made, but they're about 2 seconds (for this cool robot thingy breathing in a loop) but the avi is about 5mb so... rather large.
