T-51 suit Project

AlexanderT51

First time out of the vault
Hello, dear friends and soulmates!

My name is Alexander and I live in Samara, Russia.

I am a fan of the Fallout games series, especially parts 1 and 2, which were created by Interplay (By gamers for gamers).

Recently I had an idea to create a full-scale model of T-51 power armor.
After analyzing the options, I came to the conclusion that the market is full of cheaper suits made of soft material EVA Foam. However, because the suit will be used in cross-country games, it should be strong and durable. The hard PVC plastic (definitely not EVA Foam) was chosen for the suit material. I found specialists who have experience in creating such suits and made a helmet of T-45.

The suit is supposed to be detailed and authentic.
The helmet will have sound module, changing the pattern and tone of voice, functioning lamp, potential radio communication. In future, it is planned to build up a suit cooling system (air and water).

The suit is planned to be used during thematical lasertag / airsoft games. In July 2017 the annual international festival will be held during which a large scenario game based on Fallout universe will take place.
Creation of costume requires a substantial financial investment. Presently I have collected 30 thousand rubles ($ 500) to create a costume. According to preliminary estimations, it will take another 60 thousand rubles ($ 1000) more.
A project like this was never held in Russia before!

I really hope that your help will make it possible to improve game environment, and the usage of realistic T-51 costume at the festival will attract additional attention of Russian media to the subject of Fallout universe and cosplay.
I plan to create a movie-trailer like “Fallout 1 Intro” with «May be ...» composition in it.

I would be grateful for any help!
Once the required amount is collected, I will share weekly video reports on the process of creating the suit. Anyone who can help the project will be granted with my personal respect in video reports.
Those who help the project T-51 with the amount of 3,000 rubles ($ 50) and above, will receive a personalized Brotherhood of Steel medallion.

Yeah, sorry bro, but I'm not paying to see a giant piece of foam/plastic...

T51B is roughly 7+ foot tall at the top of the helmet (rough scaling from normal NPC assumed to be 6 foot)...Which makes me wonder how the fuck it adds 12 inches to someone's height without having a giant helmet and platforms on the feet.

As you wish) You don't have to help me)
Now what about the T-51 height... You can consider it was a fantasy interplay / bethesda )))
And everyone can make a suit to the size of the real owner. In any case, the suit will not have the mini nuclear reactor ;)

T51B is a mass produced suit which can seemingly fit the average person.

A 7 foot to-scale T51b, even in plastic, would probably weigh a fair amount, that's a LOT of thick plates.

I guess roughly it'd need 6 inches of platform for the feet, and 6 inches above the head for the helmet.

However, we see a T51B helmet, and it has nowhere NEAR that much space above the head.

Looking at the official Fallout 1 sprite, the feet certainly aren't that huge.

This leads me to believe that Bethesda fucked up.

Welll, I agree that the plastic T-51 will weight a lot.)
As you remember, that the cute girl (Choosen One) and the brutal hero looked the same in T-51 suit)
I think that it was a Game assumption)
I probably agree with your reasoning, if we meet at the presentation of the real T-51b))
In this case, talking about the true size of the T-51 armor can be with a certain degree of conditionality.)))

The power armour is made of standardised hydraulics and servos and stuff, but I'll admit there's likely some form of fitting ot make it a nice fit.

Also, I can tell you're russian from all the fucking brackets, haha! XD

Stay Cheeki Breeki, friend.

Lol, with no proof of skill (such as previously created costumes) you really expect people to just hand over money for a personal project? Good luck.

Titanic was built by professionals. Noah's Ark - amateur.
you do not carefully read my post.
I wrote that I found a specialist with XP in such suite and helmets.

A nitpick.

Noah's ark is quite literally an impossibility, wood simply isn't a strong enough material for a boat large enough to carry 2 of every species...
