seriusly, tictacs is fun on LAN, but I never bothered finishing the singleplayer missions, got boring after a while...
Though I have to admit that it was kinda exciting when I played against a non-computer controlled player

Huh, I thought it was just a clickfest.

Your character(s) are based on the SPECIAL system and they have different skills and traits and they develop and gain levels over time. I consider that to be an RPG. Extremely crappy RPG but still.

I really don't see how it can be fun. You run around with your squad untill you find the other person's squad. The person who get's the first shot off is almost always the winner.

No, that is definatly WRONG! I played against my little brother, now he's a lot worse of a tacticer than me, but still, he managed to kick my ass two times....by the way, I was sarcastic when I said that clickfests can be fun.....

Does everyone realise Tactics has a turn based mode too?

Because that makes it a lot more fun in multiplayer and eliminates the lame strategy Sniper mentioned.

That doesn't necesarily make it a good game though.

Man, this definitely doesn't prove that he is worse of a tacticer than you Seriously, the point of a real-time mode is that you have to make your decisions fast - from this POV it's much closer to a real battle than the turn-based mode. I don't know - you are probably just used to having a time to make a decision in a game, and he is playing FPS's a lot. And luring your enemy into the ambush, or having your sniper (or your archers - in ancient times) taking out his soldiers from a distance - those are quite valid tactics as well. And, again, they were and they are used in real battles - quite a lot. Just read any book on a history of battle tactics.

I'm not saying that FOT is really close to a real batte or that it was as fun as the Fallout itself - but hey, it's still was a fun! Well, at least for me
