Technical computer question

Ok, I have a question. I don't know if this is the right forum but what the heck.

Everytime I run an internet browser (both Netscape or IE) my system hangs. Not an error or something, just bang, and it's jammed. I tried to re-install IE 5 and Netscape, first uninstall them and reinstall them, I uninstalled MSN Messenger, nothing helps. Can anyone help me with this ?

Well it is probably some screwed up vital DLL on your system. If IE is not working that usually indicates your whole system is problematic. I know this may sound drastic, but I'd suggest reinstalling the whole system. After all, what good is web browsing if you're not using IE? I really hate using other browsers.

Um, have you tried the newest version of NN? It works just as well as MSIE 5.0...

Ever try Opera? It is really fast and small, but I just like IE's interface better. I use it when there's a page that crashes IE (www.ultraboard.org used to crash a lot of IE browsers).

It just seems to display web pages better. Nutscrape didn't even support the Margin body tage until around version 4.0. Furthermore, version 6.0 is even slower than version 5.0, and doesn't support some of the HTML and such that 5.0 does. Go figure.

I'm still using version 5.0 of IE though, because I've heard that version 5.5 is really slow to load up initially.

I'm using 5.0 too, the only difference I see is that you can change the color of the scroll-bar

For me, I don't care what brand I use as long as it works, and works well. I don't care if the company is a monopoly, or has sacrificial rites in its offices, or whatever, I just want my product to work the way I want it to.

I figure, if a company becomes a monopoly simply because its products are so good that other companies never receive any business, then bravo, bring it on. That's the perfect form of capitalism. It is only when a company produces an inferior product, overprices it, and then uses its market power to crush smaller companies, then there is something wrong.

There are many who would curse capitalism, but they simply don't know what true capitalism is.
