No seriously due to the amount of TV watched and the fact the damn things never break down most people have one functioning one and one or two more in the garage that are too old and small, but still work.

You think the operational but non used televison sets are included in the survey? The article doesn't say, but it does say the average home has 2.73 TV sets - is the garage included in the home, like, the residential area?

It is.

I suppose in crowded European cities you have multiple car garages like in an apartment complex, but here most houses have individual parking structures.

Probably wasnt included as part of the survey though since in most homes theres a TV in the living room and one in each bedroom. Most houses have two bedrooms so that makes for about three TV's.
