Temple of Trials, a badly designed area, or a stroke of genius?

Oblivion's was just... ehhh, I hated it so much...

So Arena's is bad, it pretty long and confusing.
Same with Daggerfall except it's a lot harder.
Morrowind's is good.
Oblivion's one is pretty bad, but not as bad as Arena or Daggerfall, it's just dull.
Skyrim's is awful, but ends up being the second best because it's not as bad as the rest.

Morrowind was pretty good, you're a prisoner given some cash, some orders and some directions before you're thrown into the world.

I was about to mention that then I scrolled down. GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM DR. FALLOUT!

;)

I hated Oblivion and Skyrim ones. I hate have to follow and be bossed around by stupid NPCs that are usually annoying and slower than my character.

FNVs tutorial Is like the Undead Asylum from DS, I've done it so many times I could breeze it in 5 minutes, but I still go slow through it to make sense of my character's journey. Also, optional. THANK YOU. After many tries to get TTW and other mods working in Fo3, I have engraved the damn opening section. It's odd how they allow you to just skip the GOAT without any Speech yet you have to go through everything else each time. Skyrim's opening? Done it once, switched to Alternate Start. That way you can actually NOT be the Dragonborn, a prisoner or anything.

Yeah Skyrim felt kind of quick in comparison... where as Oblivion felt like a slog. Daggerfall and Arena are just... they're... well, to be fair, large parts of the game are dull anyway.

TTW will have an optional quick start next release. It will skip the vault 101 and start the character in the vault cave near the door to outside instead. The character will have in it's inventory the Grognak book, a 10mm Pistol, a baseball bat, a police baton, some vault 101 jumpsuits, a vault security armor and helmet, some vodka, some radroach meat, the BB gun, ammo for all the weapons, some random junk we can find in the vault, the message in Jonas body and everything inside the revelation 2:16 "secret" wall safe in dad's office, I am probably forgetting a few more stuff. ;-)

I hate Skyrim's start so much that I can't go through it anymore. I always have to use the alternate start mod.

The issue really was that boh Fo3 and NV have to be in English, in the "conversion" of Fo3 to mod form it provoked several errors. It wasn't on the readme tho', iirc.
And yea, AS for Skyrim even adds some incentive to pick different origins as it drops you around the world. My Dragonborn was Bandit #265 until I took control lol.

It is in the read me though. It is mentioned in the requirements to install TTW in our download page:
Legal, English versions of all Fallout 3 patched to 1.7 with all DLC content...
Legal, English versions of Fallout New Vegas patched to 1.4 with all DLC content...
And it is mentioned in our FAQ:
Is TTW available in other languages?
No, only the English language is currently supported, but the team is working very hard on universal language support.
Those things haven't been altered or edited since 2013 ;-).

We do want to make it compatible with other languages though, once we have TTW stable and we know we won't be making some serious changes to it (like for example we did for this next release), we will try and look at the non-english versions. It is hard because we don't have anyone who owns the other languages versions and we also don't have anyone to translate stuff either. But we are laying the foundations so we can try and make multi language compatible TTW.
We also want to make it compatible with censured versions like German and Japanese but have no one with access to the Japanese one yet.

Wait, why give the players the 2:16 safe items?

Unless I am mistaken, its literally impossible to have the required points in lockpicking on the way out, and you can only get those items when you return?

If i remember correctly, you can change all your stats while leaving the vault. So, make a save before that and you will never have to be inside the vault again.

Remember TTW is not Fallout 3, in TTW we have the traits from Fallout New Vegas + DLCs so we can unlock the safe at the start :smug:.
All one needs is to make both his/her Perception and Luck stats 10, get Lockpick as a tagged skill, pick the trait Skilled and equipping a Vault 101 Utility Jumpsuit, it will be more than enough to have 50 Lockpick skill, once one gets out of the vault 101 cave for the first time, the player can alter the stats and traits if he/she so desires to. (2+20+5+15+5+5=52), without the trait Skilled we could only get 47 lockpick skill.

Also to be honest it only has 300 caps, one Rock-it Launcher Schematic and a Holotape.

Well, I suppose that's one way to cheese into getting stuff you normally aren't supposed to. ;D

That's the only Elder Scrolls game with a good opening.
I actually liked the opening for Oblivion even if story wise it made little sense.

Edit: I liked F3 but doing it several times over and over?... Meh.

NV is not bad but i tend to rush to the strip to get my int implant when i play now.

Skyrims is ok after you enter the keep.. Nothing great but decent.

How? It's so long, dreary and boring. You're fighting rats and goblins... RATS AND FUCKING GOBLINS in the sewers.
I also never liked how the Blades let us (a prisoner) alone with the Emperor and then the Emperor is killed and they don't even suspect us to have anything to do with it and just act like we are a hero or something. I can't remember very well anymore, I only played Oblivion a few times and never finished it. :puppy-dog:

The thing I found most hilarious with Oblivion, is set the difficulty to the max, and its literally impossible.

Even a sewer rat will 1v1 you with no trouble.

Yeah it's retarded, and the Oblivion gate missions are so dreary and boring. Going through arguably the most boring daedric realm (Hell, really?) and killing the most boring daedric enemies again and again.
