Terra Arcanum - Been there lately?

Quaid

Give dese people air!!
Hey all.

I frequent Terra Arcanum and I'm currently working on an Arcanum mod that is nearing completion.

I attempted to go to Terra Arcanum today and I am getting a wierd re-direct. I'm using my favorites link like I always do.

Does anyone here go there? And if so have you noticed any problems connecting recently?

Terra Arcanum is hosted on sorcerers.net, who's doing a lot of hardware upgrades and harddisc clean-ups today. Codex was down earlier but is up, both Terra Arcanum and DaC are down now. They should be online again within a day.

Thanks for the quick response Brother None.

I've been working on my mod for over a month now and I'd hate to see the site go down for good when I'm getting ready to set it up for download.

According to Taluntain in this post on the Codex

http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=20743

Terra Arcanum and duckandcover.cx are part of the big happy :) sorcerers.net family (just like Brother None said).

When I go to duckandcover, I get the same page, I got when King of Creation moved and the site was down for some time --- basically a generic site saying something about login as an admin.
The HDD at sorcerers.net? or at the Codex? were dying so they had to replace the HDD. But they did back things up since Calis said that they would so your mod for Arcanum should be quite safe.

Just have a little patience and the sites should be back up in a day or two - hopefully it doesn't take as long as last time where it took 4-5 days for duckandcover.cx to come back. The good news is that rpgcodex.com now loads faster than ever...or something like that ;)

I've got a pretty weird problem with accessing Terra Arcanum and RPG Codex and Duck & Cover, that is to say I can't access any of them from my computer. Works on others, of course, but not on mine. I see from here that they all share a common server.

I'm rather stumped as to the reason, its a new computer, no firewalls or anything installed.

Any explanations, tips?

Sorry for exhuming an old topic, but I thought it'd be a worse crime to start a totally new one, and its a related problem.

And its probably self-evident that I'm not overly technically-computer-literate.

It's probable that your ISP has somehow mucked up the DNS servers.
Mail your ISP is all I can say, really.

Thanks. Thats what I was suspecting. I brought in another laptop, and the sites don't work either. Pretty weird though.

My greetings to the "Sun Boiler" city of Eindhoven, lived there over 6 years.
