The beginning?

This does seem eeriely reminiscent of F1, and I can definitely picture George Bush and his "Shadow Government" doing something similar to the vault system. Hopefully this will lead to more products and energy sources that aren't dependent on oil rather than a resource war between nations, if China's economy does keep growing.

*goes out to find a kid named Harrold, and instructs him of what to say when he finally meets the Vault Dweller*

gotta find myself a nice spacious bunker, pick up a suit of power armor and stack up on some micro fusion cells...

*LOL*

It would never happen. At least not the way the current economic model has shown. 90% of the Chinese population is too poor to own a car, let along anything else. That is why all the cheap goods are made in China. And there is a severe restriction in purchasing high priced items such as cars in China. The duty is at least double if not triple the car cost, and gas is extremely expansive.

As for North America, the current eco. model of consumerism isn't feasible to sustain the economy. Sooner or later something is going to crack.

And I would take anything from CNN with a grain of salt.

I don't think George Bush will be president by the time america go to war with china, if they do at all.

Though power armour and stuff is being made, so WHO KNOWS EH?

Father was telling mother of a thing he had read in a news magazine on the day before. It seemed that scientists in the People's Republic of China were experimenting with making human beings smaller, so they would not need to eat so much and wear such big clothes. [from: Slapstick or Lonesome No More]

1.3 billion teeny-weeny Chinese people!

Ha!

LOL, the world will be awash with Chinese midgets!

For those of you interested in making a buck, time to think about recycled metals.

Be careful not to discount the Chinese though. Remember the Korean War. While the Koreans were chasing the US led UN troops from the Yalu back to Seoul, a bunch of little Chinese guys were giving the US Marines a hell of a run in Choson Reservoir. The Chinese often carried no weapons (they relied on those in the human wave ahead to get killed and leave the weapon behind) and often lacked adequate clothing. When the marines would climb up the ridges to chase out the Chinese who held the heights, they would often find the Chinese wearing sneakers, frozen to death during the night. You can say what you will about the Chinese, but man, to be up on that ridge, freezing to death, and not only standing up to US marines, but chasing them out, that's cajones.
