The endless search for THE bed!

Ok this is not just to ridicule this crappy game, I really do have a problem. Where can I find a bed? Do I really have to rent a whore in a saloon or search the wasteland to find a bed just so I can get a good nights sleep?
This is just so incredibly silly, oh, Bethsoft...

Umm

There are beds everywhere.

In order to be well rested you must rest in a bed you either rent or own. To own a bed you can either:

A)

Disarm the bomb in Megaton thereby getting a house in Megaton as a reward[/spoiler:8d11d50a4c]

OR

B)
[spoiler:8d11d50a4c]
Blow up the town of Megaton by attaching a Fusion thingy and going to Tenpenny Tower, for which you are awarded a condo in Tenpenny Tower.[/spoiler:8d11d50a4c]

Yes. You can not sleep in owned beds, and you can't rest without a bed.

It's pretty easy to get a house/apartment, tho', and you don't actually have to rent a whore for a night's rest everywhere - most hotels sell their beds without women.

Also, beds are pretty common. Almost every raider camp location has beds. Just get rid of the raiders and sleeps

Just transport you to a town with some minor enemies, kill them and sleep

What? It lasts way over 5 minutes for me. I haven't clocked it but it lasts like half an hour real time.

Dunno how it works or how the duration mechanic works.

There's a bed in the bathroom of the super duper mart.

There's also un-owned beds in grayditch.

I also thought it was dumb that you couldn't sleep in an owned bed even if the owner was dead or missing. They should just wake you up and attack you if they catch you sleeping there.

Anyway, I think the Well Rested ability disappearing pretty much immediately has to do with whether you have radiation sickness or are addicted to something.
