The Fall reviews

A while ago a attended a panel with professional literary reviewers, one of their examples was the phrase "Like a train wreck, I couldn't put it down." Such a phrase will inevitably be cut down to "I couldn't put it down."

Yeah I know what you mean. They totally quote the review out of context. Movies do that all the time. Sadly...

I was actually talking about the freaks who kept on trying to unite Germany ever since the 14th century or so.

The truth is: Nobody likes Bavaria (except for Americans who think it's a theme park -- like Wales).

aghhh, the holy roman empire

and I love bavaria, I'm a big FC Bayern fan :D

Now that's just a lie. Nobody likes Wales.

Back on topic, I lost interest/hope in The Fall quite a while ago, it just always seemed like a really low quality affair, that they would release a Beta as a finished game does something to prove my viewpoint.
:(

Oh, right, I forgot that Americans upon visiting Wales most likely confuse it with France and hate it because of that.
I think the Japanese would dig it tho. They sure like Bavarialand.

All of this is highly dissapointing.
I was really looking forward to this game.
I really hope that they have the bugs worked out before they get it to the US.
I only learned of the game recently but I thought it had great potential.
.... Though I never uderstood why anyone would want to take the trouble of puting an entire car on a giant spike when they could be doing soething usefull.... like trying to survive in a desert wasteland. :|

I will still try it, but from the bargain bin in a few months most likely.

Actually, the founding of the HRE was probably the biggest mistake anyone who wanted to unite Germany could make. They should've just conquered the lot. It's not like it would've been all that hard, as most of the 'states' in the HRE were no bigger than my back yard.

As the Napoleonic German land grab demonstrates, btw.

Don't look at me, my city state handed over its key to Napoleon as he approached the walls.

Can you blame them?

Napoleon was prolly the best thing that happened to Europe in the latest three centuries anyway, IMHO.
Especially for Germany. They went from 300 odd states to what, 15?
