Not now, but when napster goes pay, they'll turn into the thing they hate most, and demand that napigator stops using their servers or something, egh, I don't know much about napigator, so I may be wrong, bt at this point, I think napster is capable of anything

Well they can try, but they won't succeed. Still, there's always gnutella, which uses peer to peer file transfers and no one will be able to stop that as there's no specific company to sue or servers to shut down. And I didn't even mention IRC and FTPs yet...

What has been made can never be unmade. As with the MPAA and DeCSS, it will be the same with RIAA and Napster, and again the same with Napster and OpenNapster.

If Napster plans to charge for usage, they will simply be digging their own grave. They're falling for the same stupidity that the RIAA has. Rather than capitalizing on publicity and making themselves out to be the "good guy" to the consumer, they choose to make stupid decisions by pissing off potential customers.

If anything, Napster should simply put ad banners on their website paid by sponsors. They could make a GRUNDLE off of that. The RIAA could too. Unfortunately, like the drug war and the Prohibition of the 1920s, people in their tunnel vision seek to eliminate rather than control.

People will get their music whether they're doing it through Napster or an untracable hydrid. There's nothing anyone can do about it.

You guys won't believe this but...

As the subject says, you probally won't, but I'm going to tell anyways. Shortly before I wrote the first message in this thread about Napster, I had written a much more sesnible one on the Napster speak out boards, and wouldn't I know it, but I got an e-mail from a reporter of the Chicago Tribune today (no bs, his e-maill addi was @tribune.com which is the chicago tribune's address, I checked.) He said that he read my post, and I quote "I liked whatyou had to say."
Anywho, he proceded to ask me some questions for an article he was doing :P

So why am I bothering mentioning this? Well, hehe, I dunne know, just because it's cool, and to say...

Look Ma! I'm going to be in a paper!
