While the Madcat is good, I have always been more partial to the lighter, jump capable mechs. The Uller, for example.

If you want to see devastation, go for 5 ER Large Lasers (w/ Clan double heat sinks) in an alpha strike. One strike on a leg and you have a nearly functional mech for salvage...
