The Glow

I'll stick with the idea that it was nuked a little, then many conventional, explosive bombs were dropped on the Facility... to me that seems how you'd get a big friggin hole with still things in it... if anyone cares to totally destroy my theory... go ahead ;)

guys, the icbms are a fallout fact, the emperor stated that the sub had lost power after firing the missiles... If I remeber corectly (course it is FT2)

as for west tech, I seem to recal the area was saturated with nukes, though how the crater was created... dunno, it might depend on the tipe of weapon we aretalking about, or hell, maybe a defect on the armoring structure, but it seems it was vaporized in a perfect sphere...
perhaps it was a weird ass experimental weapon that broke the plate at west tech... plasma?

I figure that many bombs were dropped from planes not because they didn't have rocket technology, but because of fuel shortage, but some were fired in missiles as the "spears of nuclear fire" mentioned in the intro.

even conventional current-day nukes dont vaporize metal at 10-20 miles away from explosion point.... which for nukes is called the flash-point.

im 99.9% sure it doesnt even vaporize metal farther away than even like 2 football fields from the flash-point.

nuclear missles today are set to explode in the air because of observed thermo-dynamics, explosive ability, and it DRASTICALLY lowers residual radiation.

plus if you want to get REALLY technical, even the best nuclear warheads today never even break 20% of their potential output because of the inadaquacy of the "ignition" material.
