First time out of the vault
Hey, thanks for the comment/review again.
On Evergreen Mills: Yeah, I didn't really like that part either, looking back on it. I probably could have described its current state a little better or differently, but I meant that it's not quite civil yet and a lot of bad things are still happening.
Butch was a bully with a jerk-heart, yeah, so immediately he didn't make the most likely villain. His training scenes were meant to show that he is being broken and tortured in multiple ways, and rewarded with mind-altering drugs, and pumped full of propaganda by Eden. I have plans for him in the future, rest assured that his character will come full-circle (in a manner of speaking).
The AntAgonizer and the Mechanist, I loved that little bit too. Got to throw out some REALLY cheesy dialogue, which isn't something I get to do very often.
As for the Enclave visitng Canterbury Commons, I always felt that it was a bit more important than it seemed, as it was the meeting ground for the trade caravans. I suppose my story assumes that the Enclave have been studying the Wasteland quite a bit while camped up in their hole, so they know the places of importance. If they can win over the caravan stopoff point, they can control the supply lines of the settlements. Well, at least that was my thinking, and theirs, but two delusional super-humans decided to make the town their personal warground (abridged summary of the quest, I know).
Last little tidbit: Riveting? I love that word.
EDIT: Oh, hey, page 2 and only a year in the making. Yay!
The latest chapter is still 20. Link:
