The Legion Returning?

If I would look past some of the practices I don´t agree with, the only problem I can see is Caesar not training a protege in the ways of leadership, since without him, the Legion turns into basically a raider faction (more so at least), if we take what happens in the Legate ending seriously, anyway.
Not really... if under Lanius it becomes a brutal expansionist empire built only to fight, under Vulpes it might become a relatively peaceful, technologically advanced (doubtful) but primitive in society (Vulpes looks up to Caesar almost as a God and is arguably even more fanatic on Legion doctrine then Lanis). So it really depends on who takes control.

Actually, that might be best for the Legion, let it´s warmongering side die with Lanius and be set up as an example for the Vulpes Legion. Too bad Avallone seems to think societies should stop progressing lest we lose the original view, because this could have been a nice way of showing societies changing.

I still think that while the Legion under Vulpes would be peaceful... Caesar, god of Mars anyone?

Thanks to the dialogue we get from Vulpes, he's smart but also a fanatic. He might turn the Legion into a theocracy.

I find that however rules the legion will just change it too much they will be given too much control. If caesar dies then I feel thats it for them. However the NCR well just apoint some else even if your that effective. Caesar bullshits himself when in his dialogue he talks about long term stability but can't he see if he dies thats it for the legion as we know it. I don't really think the long term stability is there at all

I think there is, the Legion is full of charismatic, strong and intelligent leaders second to Caesar. It depends on who takes power.

We can never know, tbh. We could be seeing a stillborn civilization, or just the beggining of a Californian. Empire, it´s too early to tell.

I realized an example... it's like expecting Stalin's USSR to collapse after he dies.

Kinda but I feel lot more different to that. As russian people have the identy of living in russia where as the legion are a no madic ttribe tey don't really have that identity that belonging of the same. I was thinking something like a nomadic tribe maybe but i dunno. Could be very different if they conqured vegas however i don't really know if that would feel right

Well we will never know however one bad leader and think that be it for them
Well, yeah, that goes for any civilization, even today. If the United States had bad (or at least worst) leadership, China would take its place or another country. Its just the flow of human history.

Actually, the Legion does have its identity. It's called the Legion.

You are right but i think caesar know that he need to hover dam and vegas before they can become strong enough to really gain the identy and respect amoung other factions. At time of new vegas there more a no madic tribe. The solider they have are loyal ect. But they don't have anything enmoic wise (probz made that up) or stragicly important. I think caesar know he has win the next battle for hover dam thats why when you talk about he gets mad and how he talks they will take it this time. Thats a good sign of leader making not look desperate when I think caesar himself is desprate to take his legion to the next level

Actually they're not nomads, they have settlements, order and trade routes.

Yeah and I would like to see the settlements for myself. Caesar admits though that they don't have anything like new vegas

Well yeah that does kinda suck alot. However I do really like FNV so I cant really complain about much at all and in my play throughs where never that much interested in the legion. 18 months is still a good amout of time for game that uses alot of assest from FO3. However yes it quite short to make a fallout game but ovi there was't realy messing about with it. They could of also gone there in DLC if they had wanted
