The million dollar question about Morrowind

Will it crash, no matter what?
It crashes and crashes and crashes and crashes... It crashes when theres a lot going on. It crashes when there's nothing going on. It crashes when I run or jump. It crashes when I stand still. It crashes before, after and during saving. It crashes during dialogue. It just crashes and crashes and crashes. I patched it, it crashes. I patched it more, and it crashes. I added the "fps optimizing mod", and it crashes. It crashed on my old computer, and it crashes on this computer (which runs FO3 without problems).

My question is, if Morrowind was played on one of these Supercomputers, would it still crash, crash, crash and crash?

Yes, it will crash.
Although I have to say, I use the Morrowind Overhauled Mod and it's been running perfectly stable forever. No crashes, no bugs (except for a few rooms, but no problems).
A scary experience to say the least. At some point I actually forgot my habit of saving the game every few seconds.

Really? I've tried to avoid mods, fearing they will add to the crash-fest (exception being Tamriel Rebuilt), thanks for the tip!

Crazy... Morrowind never crashes for me. Do a fresh install and try the overhaul mod. Super easy to install now (not like it used to be). Works like a charm.

I hate Morrowind too much right now, to even touch it, but yes, I'm gonna try that overhaul mod if indeed there are no crashes with it. It sounds almost miraculous.

And yes, the crash-rate of Morrowind is aggravating, since it seems to have no particular cause other than "Lol u played too much for now, go read a book CRASH"

Overhaul is awesome. Not only does it stabilize the game it also makes it look pretty good. Well, at least the lighting effects are good.

Strangely enough, perhaps because it's my first playthrough, I'm preferring the completely vanilla look. Though with graphics extender X installed, but not many features utilized.

It's the second coming of Christ pretty much

Skywind's silly. All the faults of Morrowind and Skyrim combined... plus the "creative" decisions.

They removed Dagoth Ur's mask. No joke.

Google says no. It does say:

2 version fo Dagoth:
1st time meeting him: walks on ground, wears mask etc.

2nd time meeting him (after u think u killed him). floats on air, possibly doesnt wear mask?
