The Obligatory "What are you listening to" Thread

I couldn't see one in the vicinity, so I thought it wouldn't hurt.

We had one in tO a while ago. But I got sick of Kharn's complaints, so I vatted it.

Anywho.

Dead to Fall - Bastard Set of Dreams

Nobuo Uematsu, Ririko Yamabuki, Risa Ohki, Toshiro Mitsutomi - The Promised Land (it's in English)

Though this does vary somewhat from my normal music selection, I have 40 Gigs of my friends music on my hard-drive, listening to it and paring it down to my favorite songs (very few of them, I'm picky about my music).

I'm still in that over-excited mood from seeing KREATOR live last Saturday (they opened the tour for their new album in my city, lucky me), so...

KREATOR - Tormentor

Yoko Kanno - Cat's Delicacy

Perhaps some my favorite lyrics, apart from Gilbert & Sullivan. Not to mention the music reminds me of the Spathi theme from everyone's favorite Star Control II.

I'm absolutely certain my musical tastes will be frowned upon but its okay :).

New Edition - Competition

though something that may be a bit more acceptable... I've really gotten addicted to Carmen Fantasie. Not sure who composed it but its a lovely piece.

American Nightmare - AM/PM (live)

They were the best hardcore band, ever. Fuck everyone else.

Who cares?

I do. They saved my mental sanity and even my life on more than one occasion. That band means everything to me. Also 50,000+ hardcore kids care.

Never heard of them, though I like hardcore bands. Do they sound similar to "Crowbar"?

And yes, I also care.

I don't know, I've never heard of that band. They're just gritty, melodic hardcore, with screamy vocals. But the lyrical content is what really sets them apart from other hardcore bands.

They changed their name to Give Up the Ghost because they got sued by another band. They broke up for good last year. So that sucks.
