So my favorite television series from overseas is getting an American makeover, and I gotta say, it looks baaaaaaaaaaaad.

Check out the clips.

As much as I love Steve Carrell (The Daily Show, Anchorman, the upcoming Get Smart film), he definitely can't hold a candle to Ricky Gervais' David Brent, as is shown by the clips on NBC.com. They even took a scene from the first episode of the original series and butchered it all to hell.

I just don't know about this. Maybe it will surprise me - but for now, I'm sticking to my DVDs of the original.

The Office premieres on NBC on March 24th.

Wooz...I couldnt agree more. I stopped watching after high school and now I turn it on now and then and wonder why I ever watched it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOUSY YANKS CAN'T MAKE BRITISH COMEDY GOOD... Look at Coupling they destroyed the show. And NBC still has the rights so season four was it. And now no more "Ohhh Jeffery."
