There is no law prohibiting the number of times a copyright is renewed so as long as the proper owner renews it. It doesn't even have to be the creator; if I sell my right to produce a game to you (aka the license), you can prolong it as long as you live. Then in your will, you can explicitly give that same license to a different person and now the license is prolonged indefinitely.
