The Onion & Fallout 3

I knew we could count on America's finest news source.

"The game Fallout 3 has taught my son Charlie that it's easier to kill cyborgs with a grenade than a shotgun."

On the other hand, will it teach him that Coracs are very difficult to kill?

<3 the Onion.

"Playing games, alone and friendless, is the best way we have to prepare them for the solitude in barren wasteland" hahaha.

More humor about the entertainment industry and fan reaction.

Histories of irrational exuberance make this skit on misdirection very viable.

Note the zinger about "adding new content" versus standard blockbuster content, and time relativity in the 'differing' art formats.

Haiku 17 syllables versus 90 -no-> 900 page bloated, paid by the pound, marketing epic.

Very nice. I like the example of the six foot long irradiated beetle needing to be chopped into bits by a fire ax.

Yeah I watched it from the topic in beths official forums. It's absolutely hysterical. The onion cracks me up. But it gives me such an odd feeling knowing that F3 is getting such widespread attention. It really reinforces my belief that most people are just consumers of the obvious rather than seekers of the fine and nuanced.
