The power of Beer.... To my Euro-pee'ing Brethren.

yeah thought about that as well.

but that would mean he would have to melt. which in turn implies a heatsource. now if he had nothing with him to melt it, he would have to melt it with his hands or the like, thereby dropping his body temperature.
add to that fact excess alcohol & you've got one dead guy (drunkards freezing anyone?).

anyhow, thumbs up for the man!

Maybe the car's heater worked.... :D

Well, there's lots of things he could've used: a lighter, maybe a flashlight if he had that, the cigarette lighter in the car. And the article never specifically stated the guy didn't have heat vision.

I'm more surprised that the cold temperatures plus all the alcohol didn't cause his heart rate to go down to fatal levels. Maybe if he never slept?

Wait a second. He had heat sources with him to keep his body heat at a healthy level and the only way he could think of to get out of the snow was to drink beer and pee his way out?

I am slowly getting my doubts about the whole being-forced-to-get-drunk-to-get-out story. This kinda smells like a lame excuse to drink 30 litres of beer to me.

BTW:
IIRC the news post I read about this incident stated he had "60 half-litre bottles" with him. That'd be 30 litres then.

30 liters is a lot of beer. I hope it was good shit.

But I don't know, all that frozen beer piss.... could be kind of nasty. I hope he used all that snow to keep the beer cold.
