First time out of the vault
Ok, I'm not stuck and I have completed fallout 2 a few times before, this is more of a curiosity question.

In Klamath in the mine with the rat god on the same level as the rat god there are 4 strange supports. Hover the cursor over them and it says 'Damaged wood support'. View it and the description is 'this support looks like it could collapse if stressed'. Can these supports be brought down to collapse the mine, maybe it could be another solution to the rat problem. I tried dynamite on one but it did nothing.

Also on the next level up in the mine (the level you enter the mine from the trapper town side), next to the manhole to the rat god level there is a pole on the floor that you cannot pick up. It says 'This pole helps to support the yurt'. Can anything be done with this or is it just part of the background.

These questions have probably been asked before but I can't find answers anywhere. Please help me! :)

For as far as anyone knows, no, they can't. Probably an unimplemented (or bugged) feature.

Nope, nothing can be done with it.

I remember trying to blow them up in my first game too, but they don't have any scripts attached to them or anything.
