Is there a way to get rid of them?

    Mute the voice?

or do u want them gone altogether, just leaving the regular isometric perspective?

Cover that part of screen while talking to them. Guess they don't appeal to you because they're not very well animated? For most FO fans they're some bright point of the game.

My game keeps crashing when the faces load. It's done this on FO2 on a different computer so I was just hoping that there was some line to change to keep it in the isometric perspective.

BTW I'm playing FO1 now but I'll be playing FO2 soon enough so if there's different solutions for each having both would be great.

You can remove the heads by extracting everything - except for the animation files that are used by the talking heads - from the master.dat file. Then replace it with a new one where you add all the files which were previously unpacked.

EDIT: It's possible that newer undat utilities will allow you to simply alter existing dats, meaning that you might be able to delete the heads within master.dat.
