The Wii

Alas, all I need now is to find a dang wii and I'll be set. I've been going an hour before stores open every single shipment but haven't scored one yet. I'm really hoping to get one before xmas to get my sister (and thereby have one for myself) but alas, it's not looking too hopeful.

luckily i'm told wii works without moronic movements like that as well. but either way, i dont care.

I don't like consoles.
seconded :)

My mate is picking up a Wii when it comes out. I think it is released here on 7th December, at midnight, or thereabouts.

He seems pretty ecstatic about, but I guess you would be with any new console that is so, apparently, "innovative".

Two of my residents bought a Wii and brought them up. While they've become engrossed in zelda (I think they and their four friends have put a collective 100 hours into it since release), I've had the chance to play wii sports and super monkey ball. Both are great party games and allow plenty of choices.

Some games do require a bit of movement (i don't think there's any way to play boxing and not look at least a little stupid but everyone who sees you will be having just as much fun so no worries) but it varies quite a bit from title to title/ minigame to minigame.

I'm going to buy one as well. My opinion about consoles has changed radically after I started playing Pro BMX and Tony Hawk skateboard games on my PS 2. They rock. After buying a DS Lite and witnessing how goddamn innovative Nintendo is when compared to Sony, I just have to get their Wii as well.

Something you play with once it's out.

"Jason, I told you not to play with your wii at the table!"

I'm going to leave my home in five minutes, while singing "WII are the champions!" and get the thing. wOOt!

:D

The not so good things:

-I hate Zelda, but my kid wanted it so he bought the thing. Oh well;
-The arm was really tired after a while, if you want to play with your WII then take some brakes from time to time;
-a few games are over expensive, 69 euros is way too much.

The good things:
-The new control is really fun, and simple to get used to;
-the sports games are a blast in multiplayer;
-the WIIConect seems to work fine, but I still need to test it better;
- it really is a nice piece of hardware, and the games that work with the new control thingies are definitely fun.

we WiiMote got FCC certified. the official ID is POO-WC45...

not only do you play with Wii, but with Poo too!
