This has been bugging me for a while, but I never thought to just ask

When Windows is "searching for a solution to the problem", for example after a crash or something
1. What exactly is it doing? Where is it searching, and what exactly is it searching for!?
2. IS it looking for a solution at all - or is it merely pretending to, in a sortof scam-of-the-decade?
3. Has it ever been able to find a solution to a problem since its implementation? At all? Ever?
IF SO

What on earth kind of problem would you experience - that windows would search for a solution to - FIND a solution to - and actually FIX?

Experiencing this rare treat would be one of the "things to do before you die"

I own a pc since 2004 (went to pc caffes before that :V) and since then i never ever faced a situation where windows itself would actually be of any kind of help in searching for solutions. I think it's there for people who forget to put the internet connection cable into the socket (and even then windows it's not all that much help). When i migrated to Linux, i was schocked, that an OS can actually search and find dependencies, drivers and configure at least some files on it's own.

I think it comes down to the fact that windos is a window for mess and chaos. You can't expect quality assitance from a terrible OS.

Is windows saying that he is searching with the intend of finding ?
Maybe he is just searching for the sake of it.
