First time out of the vault
Pleas Take the FIVE minutes to read this inspiring e-mail. Enjoy . .

Ok i'm sure this game is on the phase where you the makers are just kicking ideas around the office and testing graphic engines and such. Now being that you mentioned you wanted to recreate what we the fans fell in love with in one interview I think I (being a huge fan myself) could give you a few pointers cause ive thoroughly been looking at things related to fallout. Now there is no IT factor or maigc combination that made the game as cool as it was.
But rather the game as a whole. I mean this game was the original Grand Theft Auto meaning you could do whatever the hell you wanted. So to get a proper feel of the game I might sudgest you play and examine Fallout's 1 and 2 thoroughly. The latest sequels about the Brotherhood of Steel and destroyng the whole idea of freedom in the fallout univers sort of killed it so dont look at those too much. Next fallout draws upon a whole lot of movies. Mainly the Mad Max trilogy (Mad Max, The Raod Warrior, and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome) I mean look at the leather jacket with one arm cut off in Fallout's 1 and 2. Another set of movies that are at the heart of the game are "The Dolars Trilogy" ("A Fist Full of Dollars", "For a Few Dollars More", and "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly") To be frank with you fallout has all the exact qualifications to be considered a Western. If you take away all the Sci Fi plot the heart of fallout is its slow paced you finding out the truth at the very end situation. Ofcourse that fact that your a stranger that goes into twons and are hired to kill other people for money (which happened almost all the time in most of the towns) its an obvious relation to Clint Eastwood the man with no name himself. So I cant stress it any harder that watching the spagehtti westerns is a must must must. Oh yea and you might wanna bring characters that we all just fell in love with likie Harold the Goul and such. Oh yes the easter eggs . . well those are up to your imagination but lifitng from recent movies, classic movies, cartoons, media scandals, etc. wont be a bad idea.in fact if you really want that black humor in the game watch these movies also. "Django", "Pulp Fiction", and the Mariachi Trilogy ("El Mariachi", "Desperado", and "Once Upon a Time in Maxico"). And well it doesnt get more dark humor than "Kill Bill" and "Sin City". Everything that I mentioned basically touches the heart and the soul of what is Fallout. Ofcourse I'm not saying to limit and close your minds to what I mentioned cause thats why your the makers the ones with great imagination. Well by reading this e-mail I hope im not coming off as not having faith in you guys. Ive got more faith on you guys to make a good Fallout game than interplay which practically has forgotten how to make a good Fallout game casue of their crappy Brotherhood of Steel sequels. Good luck and have a good time. Put your haerts into this game and whatever makes you laugh cause im sure we'll laugh too if even a few.

PS Make posts ask us questions the fans can be a very powerfull tool in making the game rather than little piggy banks.

PPS those movies I mentioned even if you think you dotn need em their still very entertaining to watch for a fallout fan atleast . . .

Well, you should have probably asked for a critique before you sent it since it really needs some proofreading and paragraph breaks - it's a little hard to read as is. As for the content - you expressed your feelings about the games' stylistic relations and origins pretty well and came across as a well-meaning, enthusiastic fan. Good job.

Feel free to add anything and show it to me so I can send another copy. I say make Bethesda sweat a little. YEAH!

Damn I also forgot to mention the whole deal with making Fallout feel like the way of the future trend in in the 1940's and 50's. That whle Artdeco futuristice feeel of thing. and you gotta have the 40's song at the beginning. For Gods sake before teling us the plot show me the little 40's training video with the pip boy wiht some Luois Armstrong in the background or soem other artist of the era.

Infact whomsoever reads this please post whatever you think is missing ill write a new one compose of the things left out and send it. If you do choose to sudgest things just think of what made Fallout Fallout and what touches the soul of a post apocalyptic action adventure sci fi 40's futuristic artdeco game.

I have two important things, NO hairy deathclaws(make them look *excactly* like those in Fallout1&2) and NO lums-of-flesh-like super mutants, make those to *excactly* like those in Fallout1.

Oh, and one more thing, pay more attention to Fallout1 than 2, because it has more of the original Fallout-feel and isn't pumped full of easter eggs... In my opinion this is how it works in terms of setting and stuff; Fallout is perfect, Fallout2 is good where it doesn't contradict fallout1(it does some places) Fallout tactics is ok where it deosn't contradict fallout1 or 2, but shouldn't be payed much attention to, Fallout:POS is shit and not worth mentioning, forgive me for doing so.

It's going to land directly in the trash can, if you ask me.
And for obvious reasons.
