Hi everehboday! Well, technically I am not a n00b since I know a lot about online behavior, technical issues and Fallout in general, but these teeny weeny things have been bugging me...

Issue the First!

I started a new character in Fallout 2 a while ago, ignoring the fact that I was supposed to do my physics report. Apollon I named him, main feat was his INT 10. So anyway, I got to Gecko, retrieved the Fuel Cell Controller from Skeeter (And I didn't even threaten to kill him :D), got back, and made Smitty fix up tha phat ride in The Den. Also, he fixed it up with the Fuel Cell Regulator, making the total cost $2750. All the money I had, in fact. Me go to West Side, Car Trunk Is There For Reason Unknown. Me go to East Side, Car Trunk Is There, WITHOUT THE REST :cry: I tried doing all sorts of stuff to cheat it back into the game, but it's been hopelessly recorded in the save-games that I have car trunks in every map in the entire world... And no car... All my money down the drain, 2750 chips is a lot where I am in the game now... Wish he could meet my lvl 33 character, he's got lotsa money :(

In fact he was only level 22 or so, but due to a freak accident with ´the "Here and Now!" perk, he gained 10 levels or so :D

Anyhoo, is there some way to get my car functioning again? 'Cos I sure am tired of wandering the wastes on foot.. :roll:

As for Issue #1, I have terrible news for you, Lord Terrible.

If only the car's trunk is there, you're playing with an unpatched version of Fallout 2. The only way I know around it is patching the game and starting all over. I could be wrong...and for your sake, I hope I am. :?

On the matter of Pretty Boy Lloyd, he's in one of the casinos. And since I don't want to spoil all the fun, I'll let you figure out which one it is. :D

you are wrong :D I saw in the net a program that update the saves to better vertion. I could be wrong...and for his sake, I hope I am not. :?

Another Hint: Download the patch AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!! If you alread do that, forget!

Yes, Pretty Boy is in the basement of the Mordino's Cassino. You will need a good lockpicks skills, but if you have a bomb... BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM get him!

WALKTHRU???? NEVER!! Listen to me, I ended Fallout 2 using a Walkthru and I'm knocking me all these days because of this!!!! I ruined the game using walkthru!!

Thats great!! You found one of the bugs of Fallout!! Now the bad thing, you lose a couples of perks because this!!!!!! Too bad man!!!

If you lose your car, try to speak with the man in Red T-shirt, or the boy in front of the Cat's Pow, but here's a advice! If you talk to the little boy for your car, when you return he will be dead!!! The man in red t-shirt will kill him for telling you were is the car... you won't lose karma, but you have the chance to vengeance the boy and kill the man!!

Well, not much, because the problem is that the car I bought is gone, as in gone-from-the-game gone, and not gone-from-the-Reno-parkin-lot-to-chop-shop gone... You can just follow the tracks if you have decent perception, as I usually have :)

Can't download patch as it is, too large to have on a disquette. Although, in a matter of very few days my ADSL-connection will be ready!! Can you say: "LET THE DOWNLOAD FEST COMMENCE!!!" ? :P

Thanks for the help everyone. I found Pretty Boy Lloyd, but I had NEVER EVER noticed that the casinos actually had basements if you guys hadn't told me :)

Only thing that really sucks is that the game freezes without the patch : /
