Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I was watching the Radio Dead Air broadcast on Monday and someone requested this song, I never had heard it before and someone sugested that they should have included the song in one of the Fallout games since it was so fitting to the theme, I couldn't agree more.

And before someone says this should go in another section, I am no suggesting this song for any future Fallout game, I couldn't care less, I just wanted to share the song with you guys.

I absolutely love Tom Lehrer. Much wit he has, funny guy. His other songs are great, classics like "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park," "The Masochism Tango," "National Brotherhood Week," "The Vatican Rag," and "Wernher Von Braun," to name a few. Buy his albums, especially live, there are some great comedic bits before each song. "An Evening Wasted with Tom Lehrer" is probably my favorite album of his.

He used to teach mathematics, but I think he is quite retired now, most certainly retired from music. I have thought of writing to him, but I wouldn't know where to send it. Or what I'd say for that matter. Perhaps I'll try to convince him to aid in my endeavor to write a musical. A mighty musical it shall be.

He once said this about his music career: "If, after hearing my songs, just one human being is inspired to say something nasty to a friend, or perhaps to strike a loved one, it will all have been worth the while."
 
Oh, was this the guy who did "I hold your hand in mine"? I thought that was a pretty funny song, if it's the same dude.

I've heard these on the radio before (NPR maybe?) but never knew it was the same dude or heard anything else by him.

Not at all, considering the amount of crap music being sang at karaoke this would actually be a welcome addition.
