I found this image, one had it as avatar on SHAMO:

Ring a bell?

No idea.

But this powerarmor *utterly* sucks.

Its full 3d version almost made me throw up when I saw it. For over a week after that I was trying to calm myself down thinking that it was merely smb's joke and that unbelievable piece of shit was not an official issue.

But I was wrong.

*sob*

Bah, it wasn't so bad. Similar to the power armour in FO1, it looked big, heavy and clunky; as it's supposed to look like.

Unlike the Space Dildo designs for the FOT and FO2 armours. Or something out of a Warhammer kiddie's imagination. Ugh.

The thing is that it should look *excactly* like the one from Fallout (*1*) Because it is the same.
And frankly, I liked the enclave armour from Fallout2 way better then this one (even though that might just be my preference).

The tictacs armour was lame though, yeah.

Original Powered Armor (F1) -- 10/10
Enclave armor -- 7/10
Tactics powerarmor -- 5/10
This-new-F3-armor -- 0,5/10

Look at this genuine beauty and then back at the "new" armor. Feel the disgust.

BTW, speaking about beautiful things, environmental armor is very nice, too.

Fer Pete's sake, man, the VB armor was an early, unfinished render.

They got the bulky concept quite right, all it really needed was layers and layers of years and rust, as well as some additional tubes and bits.

I never got that arrow on the mouth nuzzle. What the hell is that? "Turn this way to open"?

yeah, i always assumed a replaceable gasmask filter. could also be to open the mast so he can grab a bite to eat without removing the entire helmet.

I once busted my filter in the military and "neck" of the thing broke off and got stuck in the mask. It was a real bitch to remove.

"WHERE IS YOUR FILTER!" "Well sir, a funny thing happened"

Oxygen Vaporizer

It also, y'know, looks cool. A major factor whilst drawing designing things that are not required to actually work.

But when the things in pictures A) look cool and B) are functional, they in fact look twice as cool.

But when I saw that so-called-VB-powerarmor...

Nah nah, they just have to

C) *look* functional.

As Kharnolio said, it's a half-done render. They were probably going to improve the thing.

ofcourse they were! just so sad to think of what it had been like using it...

Haha it's the weak part on those things. When I was in the military one guy had the filter neck cracked when he was in the tear gas room. And he even knew that the filter was broken, but he thought that it's OK since the corporal who checked his mask didn't say anything. :) Oh, good times.

They do. And y'know, I feel deep respect for the Finnish army. They know what war is.

Just remember the "Winter War" of 1939-40. The Red Army was defeated. Hitler did not manage to do that with all his "superhuman" forces.

So don't insult him, Ratty. Please.
