And Ausir I really never thought it would be possible without some tools BIS was using. I know the sounds and 3d models can be extracted though, I just wish I could find the program, I have it somewhere...

If it helps, I think all of our game dialogues were just compiled Small scripts with the .dmx extension instead of .amx. Fun fact: every time a dialogue compiled, the tool would play a five second clip from DMX's seminal work, "Up in Here".

Hacking our .b3d format might be a bit more difficult, but I hope you eventually figure it out, if only to see the 15mm ARTEMIS, which was truly hilarious.

EDIT: Also, I think those Jericho/Mesa Verde dialogues were written by Jeff Husges.
 
Oh my.... Great stuff :) I must say I was wrong. Even if graphics and combat system in final game where going to be like in pre alfa (real time and graphics worse than in F2) It would be Great game only because of dialogs and story..... it is a great lose.
 
That dialogue looks nice.
And if the variety of dialogue choices was determined by level of skills ... now it would bring alot to other than combat oriented character builds. :)
I'd love to play as evil doc. :twisted:
 
Wow... very nice dialoges. Just what I expected from F3.
Who knows maybe all this could be usefull when FIFE allows us to make a VB mod :)

Doesn't seem that difficult at first sight, but it will take some time.

Because I hope that one day they'll be put into a complete game, and I don't want spoilers!
A faint, grasping hope mind you. But still.. a man can dream..

EDIT: Imagemagick converted all *.tga files in inventory/ to *.png - if someone wants to use them (perhaps the Fallout Vault Wiki project?)

Godd stuff guys. Very interesting and great dialogue. Quite crude, but none the less effective and awesome.

I am a 2D graphic artist working in the gaming industry, but i love Fallout so much and i wished Van Buren was THE Fallout3...
i just wanted to say that if anyone here is going to make ca Van Buren MOD and need some conceptart or 2D grahics, let me know.
