Ok, so how did you wrap this up?

Lots of gear here to exploit. Do you negotiate surrender, an alliance or you just had to wipe them out?

I helped Cooke get the Khan alliance, since I had already gotten the Khans to help out the NCR then this pretty much meant the Powder Gangers went back to NCR control, justice.

That vault seemed kind of underutilized though, it could have made for a disturbing adventure like Vault 11 if they'd made it larger and added more backstory. I liked the idea; two different sections of the vault with different overseers each feeling paranoia about the other section. Could have been pretty cool.

I wanted to get them to surrender to the NCR, but my explosives skill was shit, so I just said to hell with that and just killed them.

Also I think Vault 19 is the origin of the Fiends, I mean a bunch of drug addled psicopaths blow up their own Vault, kill the other residents and look for the next thing to do so they go to Vault 3 and kill the people there.

Vault 19 could have been a great experiment in human prejudice. I wish the gangers would have gone after some other vault. Maybe they could've bunked with the fiends in vault 3.

I thought the whole Vault 19 stuff was just way too obvious. I mean, seriously. A Vault with two overseers, two "teams" and both begin to get more hostile to each other. Then, years later, the powder gangers come, accidentally split into two teams as well and it gets kind of hostile between each other...

I've made them go to the Khans, as I don't really wanted them to influence my NCR.

I'm going to be completely honest here and say after at least 3 playthroughs (and a bunch of sub-playthroughs which I only get about half way) I have never actually been to Vault 19. :?

Even after the ending slide that talks about it, I always intend to go do something about it but end up forgetting.

Kinda ashamed of that.

First time I went there I didn't really had a high Explosives (I really never do), and I tried getting the stuff down in the caves to help the guys explode things, but then I needed an even higher Science skill, which led me to giving led poisoning to everyone's head in that vault.

Killed 'em.
Powder Gangers, Vault 19, Khans... All dust in the wind.

Last time I went there, I did the mission of killing the Geckos, to get the caps and exp. then killed all the gangers for loot.

Didn't expect the last option would get so many votes.

I didn't do anything about it, since I was late in game, when I discovered it , practically just before the Hoover Dam Battle, and skipped it - stupid, I know.

I didn't even discover the vault until about my fifth playthrough. :?

Didn't think there was anything on that little road other than Red Rock Canyon.

It's not stupid, it's your decision. ;)

And the problem is not much doing or not the quest, is your decision not being corrected accounted for.
I mean, killing everyone in the Vault and don't having a consequence because of a bug it's a let down, so most people don't bother with the quest/location.

DID YOU HEAR OBSIDIAN?

I think it would've been cool to have a more 'vaulty' thing, where the convicts are basically, unintentionally, recreating the vault experiment and the hating becoming less cooke's guys vs lem's guys and more red vault dwellers fighting blue vault dwellers because they are blue, and you getting to side with a side, or disable the vault computer or 'complete' the experiment to gain access to some sort of weapons vault or something.
