Vault: What would it look like if it was never used

Radius Engineering has updated their site. Their contractor has gone out of business it seems... so gone are the designs for the multi thousand people vaults.

I am currently updating my "game" version of their vaults using their info as well as data from the Mars first crew (robert zubrins group). Lots of interesting closed cycle environmental info there.

If anyone is interested in working on this sort of thing, (especially artists) message me.

The Necropolis vault (Vault 12) was designed to not seal up properly, allowing radiation in and turning the population into ghouls.
The LA Vault was a demonstration vault and worked properly, the inhabitants formed the Boneyard after they left.

But wasn't vault city the only successful vault?

I'd say there were quite a few "successful" vaults. 13 could be considered one... until they were forcefully evicted by the Enclave (out of their control). 101 was rather successful until your dope-of-a-dad caused a ruckus. LA vault was successful and not part of any tests, too.

I'm sure there are probably more...

Awesome New Orleans bunker shots!

We have one of sorts here where I work. Its in the old Pfizer complex. They built a tunnel under the 4+ lane boulevard that separates the two halves of the complex. It takes two full escalator flights to get to the bottom of it (40 feet or so). it then runs 100 yards NNW~SSE under the road. one whole side of the tunnel (its an arched tunnel is blocked off (the western side) and is full of "Maintenance equipment". the main walk way is large enough for a car to drive down safely and has double doors at each end. Its nice for winter time as you can go to across the street to get to the cafeteria without getting wet/cold
