Chapter 1: The Wasteland

It is the year 2245, and Caesar's empire has only just began with the conquest of the seven major tribes based in Arizona. Through the use of total war, intimidation and cunning he has been able to utterly dominate the tribes, taking their land and manpower to fuel his growing war machine. However Caesar has decided to consolidate and grow his empire both in industry and culture rather then continue his conquests. Even though he forged his beginnings with tribals his empire will come out with strong ties to ancient Rome and a unified force, the Legion. No longer will there be tribes or independent religion. Caesar is all, and all is Caesar.

However Caesar is not alone in rebuilding what used to be tribes into a strong society. Nor did all tribals escape their combative and ritualistic roots as they descended into a higher class of civilization. To the immediate west is the Glow, an irradiated hellhole populated by ghouls. Next to the Glow are the NCR, a decadent republic built on the principles of old-world democracy and America. They are powerful and have expanded to cover most of California. When the time comes they will be defeated, as all shall be defeated and assimilated into the Legion.

Nestled within the NCR are the independent city states of the Hub and Necropolis. The latter is another haven for Ghouls but under the firm and oppressive rule of Loki. The Hub are just merchants, the remaining remnants of a time before the NCR. Both are of no real threat, and will be added to our conquests when we roll up the NCR. Further north-west are the Shi, and the Western BOS. Not much is known of these two, though it is rumored that the Shi are descendants of pre-war Chinese while the BOS are a bunch of zealous technocrats more interested in hoarding then they are in actually using it.

To the colder north of the Legion, far away and across the wastelands are a bunch of raiders who call themselves the Kurtz camp. They are a bunch of troublemakers and raiders, only good for being put down. However many of the Legates doubt that Caesar will bother with the barren lands of the north. To the far north-west one can find the White Legs tribe. They're tribals, nothing more but they have shown to be favorable to our cause. Perhaps they can be persuaded to join the Legion for the greater good. To the north-east there are... rumors of a nation made up entirely of robots led by a giant and intelligent computer. If the Legion will ever meet them it will be quick to mete out justice, before the machines think they are equal to Humanity.

To the east we have the Vipers, a bunch of raiders and tribals who worship some sort of snake god. They dare defy Caesar and have refused our attempts to integrate them. Enraged, Caesar promises to conquer them, and so we shall, adding them to our empire with force if necessary. Their heathen religion will be brought down and they will taken kicking and screaming to a new age. To the south one will only find Mexican raiders and the remnants of the Mexican government. There is little to interest the Legion in the south but deserts and bleached bone.

Note: So yeah, first update that will hopefully garner interest in the creation of Caesar's glorious empire. This just explains the factions nearby, with the next chapter going more in-depth with the events in the Legion, where we'll expand, etc. Our first target are probably the Vipers, or we'll just take chunks of the Wasteland nearby and grow our empire slowly. Also, strangely we had a general called Brutus Americanus....

Fallout has such a rich setting and lore it really does make it perfect for spin offs with other genres. I'm not that great with Paradox games, but I did enjoy this mod.

Yeah it's a really fun, with a surprisingly interesting fanon lore. Anyway, next update tomorrow (I mean today).

IMO with the black ice mods it was one of the BEST WW2 sims I have EVER played. Not for casuals at ALL tho.
Yeah it's really in depth, but for me that means TOO much micromanaging. And the AI is absolute shit, so it's hard for me to trust the AI to do it.

HOI3 never grew on me, dunno why, HOI4 even less, HOI2 had me fanatically trying to recreate history step by step, like a challenge, as well as all kinds of unlikely all-out scenarios, like Norway taking over Europe (yeah, it never worked, but I had like 15 files where I tried really hard)

One of the most hardcore games to play was of course communist China, but so epic once you finally begin to see some land seizure. You have to sit through a LOT of fending off the Japanese though, as well as a lot of random-ass AI incompetence from the Kuomintang, so much so that I only saw any success in a single playthrough.
Coincidentally, in that playtrough the peace-event over in Europe caused the game to crash o_-
