Vin Diesel to starr in Hitman, the movie [might be bit old]

Personally, I think we'd need someone taller: Diesle is less than 5 feet tall in person.

He's 6'1, dude.

Also, Vin Diesel plays the Hitman games almost religiously. So, at least he knows what he's getting into and has an idea of what the character should act like. If this turns out to be a guns-blazing action movie, don't blame him - blame the writers and the director.

[flamebait] Vin Diesel as Riddick is hands down the most charismatic hero evar... [/flamebait]

Although, 47 somehow does seem much taller than Diesel...

Anyways, I agree with Malk; if anyone fucks up the movie, it won't be Vin Diesel...

I don't think it's his height, it's just that he's a wide guy, whereas 47 is more...well...skinny I guess. There's some body shape confusion I think.

Having thought about it, I think Vin Diesel would be an actor I think I could trust in a game-movie conversion, as long as it gets a good writer and director to properly establish themes and atmosphere. Vin Diesel is a total nerd quite frankly, so he might just care enough about the franchise to not fuck it up. I would also trust him in a Dungeons and Dragons movie for this reason.

And please dear God, someone keep Uwe Boll from any sort of involvement in this movie. Tie him down or something. Or kill him. Please.

He's stated his interest in Hitman more than a few times. We can only hope that he won't get his hands anywhere near it.

Fuck! How much is it in the metrical system of measures?

You can win the game just by killing everyone, especially in Hitman2. Can Vin Diesel win a single round with the Silent Assassin rate?

Really? I could have swarn I read somewhere that he was only like, 4'11 or something like that, and that they used camera tricks to make him look tall. Maybe I'm mixing people up.

I guess the real reason is that I've never expected Vin Diesle to be able to play someone that's cool, colected, quietly badass, etc etc, in the way that 47 is. I admit, I havn't seen Riddick or Pitch Black yet, and know very little about them, but Diesle has always played characters that have seemed too young and too brash and headstrong to give me anything to compare to 47. But if he really plays the games alot, well, maybe he'll do better than I'd have expected. We'll just have to wait and see.

Tom Cruise, maybe?

I don't think it was Cruse. For some reason, I'm pretty sure it was Vin Diesle, cause I remember not believing it at the time since they'd have to be some pretty awsome camera tricks to make him look as huge as he does. I'm 5'7ish, and I can add a couple inches on camera with some of the tricks I use, but not a foot and a half (see my thread on my post-nuke movie I'm doing: http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=218871#218871)

Incidentally, I just found out that in addition to 'Hitman', movie versions of Halo, Max Payne, and American McGees Alice are all in the works. Fox is producing three out of those four, and Universal is doing two of them (they are both funding one of them). I forget which ones in particular are being done by who, but I just think it's kinda funny that all these game movies are coming out, and that it'll be all around the same time: 2006 is the year I keep hearing, and they usually release these sorta movies in the summer. So summer of '06, expect to see lots of gamer dorks at theaters :D
