Wacky credits

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Just finished my second playthrough and this time didn't skip the credits since I was in no hurry. Seeing all that silly shit just like in F1 and 2 really brings back some fine memories, doesn't it?

You can watch the "wacky credits" also if you press shift+credits (or was it control?) in the main menu. Just like in every Fallout game (except Fallout 3, don't know if it was in Tactics).

It is a WW thing, but it's also another dose of nostalgia for the classic fallout fans. Hell, the whole game is pretty much.

I also found it to be a good way to set a clear line between classic fallout fans and the F3 era fans - the ones who prefer F3 over NV clearly haven't played F1-2 and just can't appreciate most of the material. Though most of the time it's crystal clear already, since most of them also think the F3 story and writing are also better in F3.

I think a plot of people equate writing with story and plot, but New Vegas doesn't really have a lot set main story or plot and is left more up to the player to determine. The strength of the writing in the game is the characters, factions, world, quests and small side stories that set up the framework for you create your own main plot and story, but most players new to series with Fallout 3 aren't at all used to something like that and just assume the writing is weak because they expect it force you into some sort of "epic" story it is trying to tell like in most other games.

Also a lot of people wouldn't know decent writing if it bit them in butt. Look how much crud like Twilight sells, Fallout 3 fits right into that style of hack writing.

You, good sir, are spot on.

FNV does have story and plot but not linear one like in Oblivion, F3 or any other popular FPS. People who like being railroaded and held by hand, and tend to skip dialogues won't like New Vegas, or God forbid older titles without quest compass. Their loss If you ask me, FNV is atleast four different games in price of one.

BUTT IT HAS NO ENCLAVE AND NOT AS BIG ACTION AS THE WELL WRITTEN ENDING IN FALLOUT 3, WHICH IS WHY IT IS THE FIRST AND BEST FAILOUT GAME EVAR. DUNO WHY IT HAS 3 AT THE END LMOA LOLWFT!!!!! ANYWAY FAILOYT 3 HAS THE BEST STORILINE OF THEM ALL AND THE REAL FALOURT Feell.
