Wannamingo, love them, or hate them?

You could add animations, no? Make a cool acid spray one?
I am currently in Redding as a lvl9 char and can tell you that the Wanamingos really don't need more combat effectiveness. They have 12 AP and smack you for 15 damage each hit. I'll have to go to Reno and come back with a Flamer, ask me again after that. Heh, that might actually be another Alien reference, the things have no Fire resistance.

I like them, but I wish they were only in Redding. I don't like finding them in random encounters, and especially not that they're called Aliens in those encounters. That's just overexposure.

Eh, you can outrun aliens.

Scoot and shoot.

Not really. I have 7 AP and need 6 to fire, the Finesse trait makes it so you kinda need aimed shots to do damage. I got lucky and took out a couple by crippling the legs, but there's no way I can get through the lower levels.

Finesse IMO isn't worth it.

Reduces your damage, and sniper perk makes it pointless.

It's a good trait when you learn to balance the tradeoff.

It doesn't reduce your damage, but it adds around 20DR to damage calculations. That makes JHP ammo nearly useless, but with good enough AP ammo you can negate this DR, so the 14mmAP pistol rocks hard. And I'd rather have a trait that gives many more criticals during the main game, than an endgame perk that breaks the endgame even more. Besides, my current char has no chance of getting enough AG for Sniper.

In any case, Sulik died in the Den so it's only me and Vic against the 'mingos. And we only have Den-level equipment, he's still in his leather jacket. Not a fight I can win. I'll do the caravan drive to New Reno and come back when I have a .223 pistol for Vic.

I like to minmax like an asshole. XD

Did you get the Zeta Scans? The EPA booster?

I minmaxed on my first characters, but I get bored very quickly if I play a character who can do everything, so I tend to restrict myself these days. Here's my character:

ST 5
PE 7
EN 4
CH 6
IN 5
AG 5
LK 8
Kamikaze
Finesse

I'm level 9, my perks are Awareness and 2x More Criticals. I've been to Klamath, the Den and the Umbra tribe/Slaver camp. Done all the quests except one in the Den that I didn't have enough Intelligence for, wiped out the camp and iced Metzger.

The caravan to Reno leaves in 3 days, so I'll probably be drinking booze and betting on molerats until then. I've cleared out the critters on the west side and bagged 2 wanamingos, but that was pure luck. Still got a ways to go before I'm tough enough to do the Sheriff's quests, and the mine chip is likely not available to me. I can try to Sneak down to it, but the wanamingos have ridiculous Perception, and if I alert one they all come running.
