So I installed fallout 1 and started to play it, I travelled to vault 15 upon exiting my vault(skipped past shady sands) I had a random encounter close to vault 15's location Bobs car sales or something, their i got his bb gun which is pure amazing!! I destroyed the radscopions sometimes with 1 hit,I destroyed the raiders sometimes 1 kill with one hit ,However i wasn't happy with my character setup I would have liked to assign him 1 endurance instead of 5 i gave him and other tweaks aswell , so I started again thinking I could replicate it, I was heart broken travelled around trying to find and couldn't, my question is how can I get this encounter,is there a way for me to get back that gun at the start.

It is, indeed, a very rare random encounter. On a normal playthrough you'll get one of those special encounters about half the time, and not all of em are that useful.

oops, Well thats annoying, I can tell you it made the game certainatly interesting lol, That article about the encounter I can confirm theres actually two BB guns in that house a standard Red Ryder BB Gun which I see is mentioned and a modified Red Ryder LE BB Gun thats the good one its bob's and I stole it

IIRC it seems to happen more often in the tiles around the north of shady sands. I may be thinking of a different epic encounter though.

Yes it is very lucky to get that encounter - as it is with those rare random encounters.. having th character have LK 9+ helps a lot, but there are no guarantees.

In my first playthrough of Fallout, with a character with LK 9, I found Bob's used cars right between Vault 13 and Shady Sands when walking there for the very first time.

Getting the Red Ryder BB gun made that playthrough so easy it felt like I was cheating.
