Junkmaster
Glad to see many of you are back and have been posting. Sorry for the long absence and please note that I have to cut back time here for personal reasons. I don't plan on leaving, but I need to catch up with other stuff, real world stuff.
Ok, couple of things about where we are-
Pyro and Alba- nice to see you both back. I hope you bring your characters back into the story soon. Not sure where your story is going at the moment but I think running two different stories in one RP is probably not a great idea- it's too confusing.
It might be possible to get a new roleplay going with your characters and that might bring in new folks. You two have to decide where you want to do your roleplay to be.
As for the plot- remember that our characters are moving either before or after the vaultdweller is pursuing his quest. In Junktown we got the feud between Gizmo and Killian- now we got necropolis.
Couple things I remember from Fallout 1.
(1) Only caravans go to Necropolis.
(2) Ghouls are easy to piss off, patrol in numbers and will come after you if you bug them.
(3) Set is control but only recently came into control after defeating other Ghouls.
(4) dissident Ghouls live in the sewars- plus assorted nasties.
(5) Water is important, but they don't use the water chip.
Ok my suggestion for the plot here-
We tell the story of how Set became the boss of Necropolis. He's powerful, but not all powerful. To become the boss he uses Cadian and his goons to whack the leadership of the other groups of ghouls.
This is what I am thinking as a plot line- spoilers here.
Caribe's interrogation of ghouls does not go unnoticed, but the ghouls don't offer him as much as he'd like- perhaps a false lead. The problem of torture is eventually the person tells you want you want to hear. In the meantime the other ghouls realize their is a shared problem- humans are invading necropolis and try to call a meeting, a counsel, to discuss what to do.
Set uses that meeting to set up an assassination of the other ghouls using Cadian and his gang as his weapon. In return, Set promises to abush those who are chasing Cadian.
I admit to being a bit uncomfortable in playing Set on this, so if someone wants to draft the meeting between Cadian and Set, that's fine with me. Cadian, the player, has been pretty quiet.
When our group comes to Necropolis, they get ambushed and have to fight their way out. Remember, there are also ghouls that are against Set who may help us out.
Ok, at the end of the day, Necropolis becomes very suspicious of outside humans, only caravans can travel to Necropolis- which makes them especially vulnerable to the Mutants. That would explain some of the hostility of the ghouls to the humans as well as how Set got to become the big boss. As for our story, Cadian does his damage and then gets a bigger head start for the final showdown.
Is this cool?
