There are so many lame kickstarter projects, but this is the exception. I still hope kickstarter goes away forever, but only after Wasteland 2 is funded. :)

You want a whole website to go away, all of its employees laid off because you think some of the projects are lame?

:?

Did Kickstarter burn down your sister and rape your church?

We could always start a kickstarter project to do just that

IMHO it might be helpful for future projects like that. World aint ending on Wasteland2. I hope it's the beginning of "isometric cRPG's self-funding" era. Or, provided that W2 will succeed - new~old trend to follow by some commercial developers.

Oh my god, I forgot about all of the poor employees! You're right, I take it back.

[edit] I want to see an era where people make good games, but not if I have to fund them with a cash donation two years before they ship based solely on the lame hope that maybe the game will be OK when it's finished. Because that ain't happening.

I think the worst thing that can happen to a game, book, or other creative work is that the developers build it based on fan input. You watch; the things that bug you about Wasteland 2 will be based on fan input from the forums.
