Amazing Pic, keep up the good work :)
As for st0lve, you should read the forum before you post.

To all:
Now only work on the objects and we're ready.
So we need to work on the details - this shall take a few days. Water marks, decals, trash, wall objects, floors, etc. Silencer has not told you that our site is going to be back online next week

But why show off screenshots that look like shit compared to what they have showed? If you ask me, it looks like they are working on 2 different games, atleast with 2 different engines.

Why don't you show us screens with the quality that you posted a link to? It would make a much better impression than some half-ass job.

(sarcasm) You have a point that screenshot is the suxxors...im going to wait for bethesda to finish fallout 3, so i can play it on my xbox 360. (/sarcasm)

They like to keep us up to date on what they are doing, so yes you will see screens of in game shots that aren't complete ...I really don't understand what your porblem is?? would you prefer they stayed quiet, and not show us anything until the game is almost complete? really who cares, im glad they get on the forums, and respond to our questions.

Do you think bethesda, and pretty much every other game developer takes the time to do what they are doing? not only that they have to worry about funding the damn game, (more sarcasm) but you are right...the lighting and lack of detail is unforgivable how dare they post that shit screenshot.....FOR SHAME INTOXICATE WE WANT TO BE KEPT IN THE DARK! (/sarcasm) anyway i'll let you stay mad at them for that screenshot, and i hope you enjoy playing fo3 a Post Nuclear First Person Shooter.

I don't give a good flying fuck about the graphics and as far as I'm concerned the graphics in that screenshot are too good. What I care about is the gameplay, atmosphere and the story.

St0lve - we are not professionals, and we can show you what we are doing. If you dont like it - help us make locations better.

The only possible complaint I could have is that everything in the screenshot looks too perfect. It lacks grunginess. The other new screenshot that was presented earlier in this thread has that grunginess, so I'm not worried.

Other than that, it looks totally professional. I'm stunned! Now I pray the gameplay lives up to this. The turn-based option is very promising.

I think he was talking about the fact that on the following screenshots it almost looks like different games :

I don't care as long as it has nice gameplay, design and some depth, but yeah he's right, the difference is surprising ( even though I wouldn't say any of those screenshots look bad ! ).

Finaly 1 guy understood what I was talking about, aswell as the link you (intox) posted on page 1.
As for you being professionals, I've followed Aferfall (and bourg.. I can't spell it) for a long enough time to know what you guys can do. I've seen great and promissing work from you guys, it's just the shot you posted (as the news) doesn't even keep up to date with 2 year old HL mods while the rest of your stuff does.

I'd love to help you guys, but I'm currently busy with working on Insurgency and with school.

Sorry if I insulted anyone, I just feel kinda lost due to the HUGE variation in quality from what you've shown.

I think they all look promising. Do you guys want another DOOM 3 were most locations looked alike and were rendered in the same colors? Same dark lighting everywhere or even total darkness.

The images show us they have some good artists and are shaping a game-world with different atmosphere depending on the local. What is wrong with that?

The screens look great... though most of us will agree it is the game-play that matters most. I love good graphics as much as the next guy but I'm no graphics whore. That said I do like what I see.

edit: Thanks for the input, intoxicate. While we have your attention. How interactive is the environment? Say I shoot one of those barrels full of fuel (or whatever) will it exploded and cause a chain reaction?

Let me explain.

Firstly, St0lve, you know how long we have been working on this game - TOTALLY FOR FREE, not everyone is able to work so long without money. Making games requires money. We are creating a techdemo the best way we can, we need it - to get the money to make the whole game as soon as possible. Another thing - have you ever heard about a postapo game done by a scattered team remotely? Without a studio? I have never found any info on such people. The locations we are creating are pretty complex. Why is it so clean? Because the screens shown are from the LIVING QUARTERS, where you have the command centre and entertainment facilities. I can tell you that the base has not been used for many years - that's why it's so clean, the lower levels shall be much more postapo, because the story over there will take some turns... I am showing you this screen as the evidence of progress - nothing else. Once we get the site back up - you will get a Prelude description, in which you are going to read that the location is partially "clean", as it has not been used for years.

Paranoid Jack - there is full interaction, almost all objects shall have their own physics, so things like shooting barrels->fire->etc. are nothing to be worried about.

We chose such location because it's very atmospheric in general, not only in the screenshots, but also during the game.

The Afterfall team is awesome! So much information to please thiee fans...unlike another team we all know....cough..cough..Beth...So...Soft!

I know you are doing it for free, I know how long such things take. I've been working on Insurgency for more than a year, it takes dedicated people, but thats really hard to find.

I can't wait for more info and stuff when you get the page up.

Team didn't start the optimalisation yet. That's all secret. Anyway, you'll need powerful machine to play Prelude
Or maybe the one how took the screenshot got a crappy computer? :o

But as for that, makes my final question; Whats up with the 2 different engines? The news screenshot isn't by far the same engine, if you ask me, the linked shot looks like a rendered picture (in an 3d application).

So whats up with that?

First screenshots is on Unigine 0.33, and those are on Unigine 0.4 - same engine.

I have a hard time believing that. From what I've seen on the Unigine page, no screens look close to the first screen you posted. It would be like comparing HL to HL2.

But since it's different versions, I have a another question (I just love asking):
How come you show us screens on the old engine when you are suppose to make the game on the new one?

St0lve look, first location we made by 0.33, now we have 0.4, Unigine is in progress Man.
