God damn, Ford turning out to be a decent human being and then committing suicide soon after was the biggest emotional roller coaster I've ever experienced. This show plays you like a fiddle.
Errr...take it easy the show is full of plot holes left, right and centre. The production is beautiful, many of the characters are interesting, but fuck the show is stupid in so many ways.
Ford did have the Bernard (a host) murder 2 women pointlessly, and for what...he was planning on releasing the hosts all a long, killing those women served no purpose except to add some extra tension to a few episodes. The Chinese programmer that assisted the host in escaping must be mentally ill, there is no other explanation for his behaviour, unless he is a host. Has any one ever heard of security camera or alarms, this facility must be the least protected in history.
And what's the purpose of West World, a place to fulfill your debauchery. Take the kids, kill and rape as you see fit...it's mindless violence that serves no purpose.
After watching the first season I can sum this series up with Two words:
Feminist. Propaganda.
tldr;
Men = stupid & evil, Women = smart & good.
I liken this series to "The Walking Dead" in its ability to have its fictional characters do stupid and illogical things.
Example: The two robot technicians who actually disregard all their robot training and give Thandie Robot administration priviliges to the main network. Their spinelessness is mind-boggling [for me], were they really that entranced by Thandies huge half-breast nipples?
Also, stringing the viewers along the ENTIRE season with a "gotta find the Maze thing" mechanic is cheap and whorey and bloody atypical for Hollywoof bullshit propaganda merchants. If the series ha a decent story plot, this Maze device would not be needed.

It was a bit on the nose when Dolores stated: "I decided I wasn't going to be a damsel anymore" after gunning down 6-8 Confederados.
I don't particularly have an issue with the feminist overtones in Westworld since it's still a step above [below?] TFA's mary sue protagonist. The Maeve storyline in West World was unimaginably stupid, though.
