what about troika buying FO3???!!!

True, just as I hate the fact Interplay never bothered making Fallout merchandise.

As for Fallout license, man.... I grit my teeth every time. I played Fallout 1 just recently and Fallout 2, and I fail to see why no effort was made to make mor. They could do the Baldur's Gate series and Ice WInd Dale but Fallout seemed to much. Not even a single expansion pack.

If FO3 is dead, hope it is reborn or bought by those who care for the genre.

Troika or Nival assisted with BIS guys should finish the job IMO. Nival did such a great job with Silent Storm. They´d just change the name... Both of those companies have good enough engines. The dying IPLY should sell whatever it can as it has done so far. I´m talking about all the stuff BIS had done so far fo F3. Maybe far fetched but after seeing those screenies, I´m like, gotta have this, one way or the other. Looks amazingly like the original despite polygons.
Nival?! Maybe. I can try to contact with Nival managers team, because I live in Russia and have some kind of contacts with 1C. 1C is the main Nival partner.

Yes, wasn´t it in NMA that Nival was doing something like post apoc after Silent Storm... Plus, they are 1 of the best while Silverstyle is something I/we know a lot less about. Silent Storm has ragdoll physics and the way those buildings get destroyed... If they´d use more polys it´d look as good as VB.

They can do more polys but, yor PC may die after this.

There is a precedent that Interplay will sell the rights to certain games that they will not finish, but I don't think they will sell the Van Buren code, so whoever gets the rights will have to start form scratch.

This is probably just for good. I'm a developer myself for many years and I know one thing - every time you are about releasing your product you look at it and think "jeez... we should never ever release that! it should be rewritten here... and there... But best of all, we should start everything from scratch" :D
