What are some of your fondest/funniest memories and experiences with Fallout?

I was playing Fallout 4 on survival mode, level 12 if I do remember well (a bee can kill you). I've found a damm Super Mutant Patrol, and started running. A lot. I've found a strange house made of junk, with a single npc living in it. This npc was a barter, with nothing great to exchange.

Minutes later, I've heard the super mutants yelling. God dammit! I've rushed inside the house, shitting on my pants. All I heard was mutants yelling, and I was on sneak, "o shit, oh shit, oh shit!". Then, A grenade exploded outside. I was so freaked out, that the grenade sounded like a nuclear blast.

I've waited, waited, the silence, and the mutants were gone. I've spotted one walking away, and the barter npc, dead.

Survival is the way to play.
This is why I'm excited for the Dust sequel.

The philosophy of DUST is great when you have over 700 hours in the game, as almost everything you thought you knew has changed to an extent.
In DUST the only thing I cheesed was Fast Travel initially for not being deactivated properly and had the "Caves of Primm" Player Home that includes a super handy teleporter.
I think I played it so much i found all exits but for the OWB one of any and the last patch's.
Eventually was slashy-splashy with the Knock-Knock and with 400 .308 JSP bullets :P

Problem is that New Vegas just isn't very good for that kind of gameplay.

Well Melee/Unarmed does work better than in Skyrim and Fo4, imo.
Add to the variety, viability, amount of perks, some crafting and weapon mods and that weapons actually feel different from each other.
To the new moves you either learn or unlock at Skill levels, and finally the pure badass Knock Knock (Metal Axe in DUST) is <3

Fo1> Meeting the master and the unity.
Fo2> All of it. Special mention for myron discussions about the genesis of jet.
Fot> The reaction of the female super mutant scientist after you stormed the laboratory where super-mutants supposedly worked on their weapon of mass destruction. Even micro forte had more care for super-mutants humanity than Bethesda.
Fo3> the beginning in the vault. It goes downhill afterward.
Fonv> Freeside reminded me of what the outskirts of a post-apocalyptic city should look like. Everything in dead money. First encounter and dialog with almost every major player. A reminder of how a Fallout dialog should be like.
Fo4> Not buying it nor playing it. From what I learnt, it was a wise decision.
