What are some of your unpopular opinions?

Does more ammo types translate into better overall gameplay when you have to keep track of twice or trice the ammunition types and what weapons they cater to?

Personally, I don't think so. I don't like ammo types being overly limited either but when we have dozens of ammo types then as someone who isn't a gun nut it isn't exactly easy to keep track of what is what and what the difference between all of it is.
If there are too many weapons then that obfuscates the niche of weapons. What makes X different from Y and Z? In what situation would I use X over Z? I don't like having 40 SMG's that do the same thing.

Less isn't more, but less can be better than more.
In this case. To implement it as a gameplay mechanic. Most weapons using 7.62x39mm hit harder but not necessarily faster. Same with 7.62x54R. Also Theyre available in bulk at most weapons traders so they cant make use of Hand Loader perk. In this case, more would be less. But it's cheaper and easier to manufacture. The Soviet way if you ask me. So gameplay logic here- Doesnt alter it much but it adds a bit more variety and bulk to some weapons traders. Especially for lower level players who might be building to run a grunt build and the AK-47 Just happens to be on that list

Bunker Buster
looking back, there is Nuclear Bunker Buster or earth-penetrating weapon, this is probably what china used since the glow is "glowing" :monocle:
maybe the nuclear buster fizzled there underground and didn't make much of an impact? from what i know fizzled nuclear bombs make more radiation than destruction, so maybe this is what happened?

Something that all the games lack, especially the 3D ones, is the lack of disfigured people in the wasteland. People with one arm, one leg, missing hands/fingers/feet/toes, cancerous lumps, unnatural bone growth and posture. And sure you could say they would be filtered out by natural selection but, in more civilized areas like New California or even "settled" areas like Diamond City, you'd definitely see these type of disabled people. Also if limb cybernetics weren't a thing pre-war, we should still see post-war prosthetic improvisations such as these:

they do exist, well kinda, tangler hand is a cut content, but hey it can be canon

The tv show would’ve been a perfect opportunity to hire disabled actors as extras or even significant characters. Amputees, little people, hunchbacks, people with facial deformities, etc would’ve really helped the atmosphere and contrast wastelanders with vault dwellers.

I guess the real question is, do you get woke points for casting such people, or would you be accused of exploiting them?

Even so, one man in a post-nuclear world seems lacking. I'd imagine raider amputees running around with dagger and ripper hands oughta be way more commonplace.

I mean George Miller did that with Fury Road and Furiosa with no issues raised.

It's a pointless change but not one I really care that much about.
I'd prefer consistency but this is not on my priority list to shit myself over.
a better question is: did you shit yourself when fallout 3/nv deleted the ass cheeks from both T-51b and APA?

Mr house is more well written and interesting character than Joshua Graham
the worst weapon that was added to the franchise is the fat man
the radio add nothing to the world, it's just "the player did so it triggers this", the newspaper in arcanum were better by a mile, and i prefer reading it than hearing it while i am walking in the world waiting random special dialogue for hours after 100 songs from the 50s that kills the immersion just tells me about my actions and not the world, or a rumor or dialogue that should have been in the game in he first place
yes i think newspaper are superior

Hearing random oldies on the radio constantly gets annoying and doesn't help with worldbuilding, as it implies that there is only one type of music that exists instead of various types, making the world feel small.
