What I want : )

First time out of the vault
Here are some of the stuff I would like to see in FO3.

1) Ron Perlman come back as the narrator, but that's a must!

2) Background storeys for NPCs, I would like them to talk like some of the characters did in Arcanum, but that is unlikely. They must have a good background story I think, if not they will just seem meaningless, and nothing but more firepower and inventory slots. I guess they don't have to be a main part of the story, but they could be somewhat important. What about NPC's that are only members of your group for certian quests? Like a guide? or whatnot!?

3) I would like more "destroyes Ruins" combat locations. In Fallout 1/2 it was mostly the "Middle of Nowhere" or the "Small path will cliff" areas that you would encounter bad guys in. Fighting in the runis of destroyd cities would add to the feel of the world I think.

4) The ability to train wildlife. I mean train a dog or whatever to follow you and fight with you, like dogmeat. Or just have as a pet.

5) What about instead of a car to drive in, or just another choice, you can have your own Caravan to lug your items around. You could buy a Brahmin (not sure on spelling) and then hook it up to a back of a broken car, then walk it from town to town. It would not allow you to go faster, maybe you would move slower, but you could bring more stuff. You would also have it protect the Brahmin from being killed.

6) MORE interesting quests. Not just the old "kill guy" or "deliver Package"

7) More FO1, less FO2! :) The more I think about Fallout 2, the less I like it. I dont think I like the whole thing with the talking Deathclaws, or New Reno. In my opinion the story for Fallout 2 just wasn't that strong.

8) Mini Games! Like boxing/Knife Fights or whatever, just more non quest stuff too do.

9) Someone mentioned this already, but im going to say it again. Less BOS invlovment. I liked how in Fallout 1 they were just a side quest, and had nothing to do with the main quests (other then the fact that they could help you)

10) And last (for now) I would like the Fallout world to seem more alive!!!!

Again, another Hideous Freak of Nature comes in and shoots his mouth off about Fallout 3...

I'm just joshing you buddy.

BTW, New Reno is what made Fallout 2 good, and I love how you say that you hate Fallout 2 and then later in your post you say stuff about boxing minigames, which where in fallout 2.

But most of the stuff is obvious and everyone pretty much wants the same thing in Fallout 3... I can't wait til it comes out. "Van Buren" looks hella' good :P

!

Hey! I have been coming to these forms long since you were born! ( : lol

Well actualy I have been viewing the forms since a few months before Fallout 2 was finnished, after that I never bother posting much, just reading.

And I never said Fallout 2 was all bad! Just now that I think about it, it wasn't that great. They did do some neat stuff, like boxing. The car was interesting ect..

I liked Navarro the most! makes a good place to store weapons after you have killed everyone.

Im not too sure how good Van Buren will be. I keep having the feeling it is just a last attempt to make some money before they go bankrupt! Which could mean they may not put as much effort into it that they may have if the company was doing a little better.

And if Fallout BOS doesn't do well, they may put even less in (even though they are seprete products)

Thats juts how I feel!

Even if they go bankrupt, they'll end up selling all the copyrights to their titles, such as Fallout, Baldur's Gate...etc.

Oh yeah!

I also want to explore more Vaults. Maybe find some that are not open yet, or whatever.

AND!!! More places like the Glow and the Sierra Army Depot! ( Non inhabited pre-war places )

How about fighting around such locations as highway junctions and such?

Or a large town built around a junction, or village hidden under an overpass.

I liked the 2nd half of fallout 2 the best. I always hated starting out in klamath and the Den. Those places were trying to be like junktown in F1 but they fell short. Vault City, New Reno, and NCR were cool places.

I would like to see more intact pre-war places. You would figure that most small towns would still be intact.

About navarro, its a better place to experience if you dont just go in guns ablazing.

Junction City has nothing to do with like, a freeway junction. That would be cool to see a little village using a clover-leaf intersection or whatever as the basis for its town.

Anyways all I want from Fallout 3 is for it to be released. Every other little detail is a seconday concern to me :?

Like a western type town/village where the town is the actual intersection. To travel through you must pass through the town.
Towns like this would be a nice addition.

I do like the idea for new places to fight. That was one of the down points in FO1. When on the caravan missions, you seem to only ever encounter people in that damn canyon.
As people have said, more ruined towns which in a post apocalyptic world, shouldn't be to hard to come across.

Oh I experienced the hell out of it, then when I was done, I killed everyone!

I want random people to have more floating text, but after awhile they should just refuse to say anything! I hate when people fallout start repeating themselves.

That is true. If everyone had at least 30-50 things to say. It'd be a lot more interesting.

you have to be realistic though. Not everyone is going to have something to say, in fact most people probably wouldn't want to talk to you at all.

So yeah, if they vary the way people talk so some have a lot to say, while others will not talk to you, the people would be more interesting.

Also on the topic of bar fights I mentioned earlier, if you keep pestering people the tough guys should try to fight you. Maybe not much, just a short punching round.

Oh shit! And here I was remembering Chris Avelonne admitting how fucked up setting-wise New Reno was...

Aight... this isn't my place of expertise but wasn't that the area designed by Chris Avelonne? I thought I remembered him saying he believed that stuff should change after you beat the game and hence the cat lady goes on a date with you and that guy gives you the cheat magazine. Or maybe he did vault city with the comp. Or neither and I've lost my mind AH.

In response to the first guy. Background stories for the NPC's are nice and in Fallout 2 for the most part, they were there. Cassidy had his bar, Vic had his daughter back home. Marcus had the town and sulik had his sister and the tribe. They took those into detail and made the characters more personal.

Destroyed ruins would be cool... thats it for me.

Perlman is a God.

All my friends that like Fallout loved having him narrate.

Yes it was. That's the point.
